about caroline ligthart – owner of lodge rose's heart
Caroline Ligthart (53) is the proud owner and driving force behind Lodge Rose's Heart, a luxurious and loving Alpine retreat for those who enjoy life. Born and raised in Amsterdam, she grew up with an open mind. Her career began in the air: as a flight attendant for KLM, Caroline discovered her love of travel, people, and hospitality at a young age. Later, she pursued a successful career in the medical field, where care and dedication were paramount.
In 2018, after a serious skiing accident turned her life upside down, Caroline decided to change course. She followed her heart and began realizing her long-held dream: owning her own lodge in the Austrian Alps. In 2019, she opened the doors of the first Lodge Rose's Heart in Bad Kleinkirchheim – a place full of warmth, ambiance, and personal attention. Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic forced her to close this lodge in 2021 and return to the Netherlands. But the Netherlands no longer felt like home.
After a period of reflection, an intensive search, and the usual setbacks, Caroline found a new place in picturesque Bramberg am Wildkogel that touched her heart. Here, she's giving her dream a second chance – in a 2.0 version of Lodge Rose's Heart, richer in experience, more deeply rooted in her personal journey.
The name Rose's Heart originated from a deeply personal meaning. Rose is Caroline's inner child, uninhibited, dreamy, and courageous, symbolizing the fearless pursuit of ideals. "Heart" refers not only to her surname, Ligthart, but also to the love and passion with which she welcomes her guests.
Caroline is also known from the television programs B&B Vol Liefde and Daar Gaan Ze Weer, in which she shared her openness, resilience and love for life with a wider audience.

With Lodge Rose's Heart in Bramberg, Caroline invites you to become part of her dream: a place where nature, tranquility, luxury, and authenticity come together.
